2009 MBR Results (more results below)

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 AD, Christmas Eve's Eve

Many thanks to all who came out to our race last Saturday! It was quite cool, but dry in answer to prayers, for which we are most grateful.

Tee shirts: If you registered and did not get a Christmas tee shirt, we may still have one for you. Please call and let me know what you need.

Found: Large red and gray Disney moose-ears cap.

Missing: Jim 'N Nicks reports all 535 barbecue sandwiches disappeared, not counting everything else consumed. I think we have created a monster!

Special thanks: Aliant Bank, Boy Scout Troop 514, Hoover High School Girls Cross Country Team, Phi De I Drum Corps, Love Birds, Norton's Florist, Shelby County Sheriff Chris Currey and his Department, Meadow Brook Home Owners Association, North Shelby Fire, Birmingham Radio Club, Hoover Police, Hoover Fire Rescue, Regional Paramedical Services, Chief Timer Charles Amos Thompson, and DJ "Bama Bill" McFerrin for all their help.

Supporters: We greatly appreciate our many sponsors who provided prizes!

Opening Prayer: Glenn McWaters invites you to get involved with Youth For Christ. Call him at 205.532.3387.

Results: Please allow two weeks. I'll let you know.

Reason for the Season: Christmas is a wonderful time to make the most important decision of your life, to give yourself to Jesus Christ. Years ago I prayed this way; you can too:

"Lord Jesus, I need you. I open the door of my heart and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Forgive my sins. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Give me the desire and power to do what you want me to do. I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer for the first time (you only need to pray it once), please let me know. May this be your best Christmas ever!

Bob Cosby, M. D.
