The Meadow Brook Home Owners Association is pleased to present the inaugural
Beautification Award to Bob & Esther Burroughs of 5055 Stratford Road. There
were many deserving nominees and we would like to thank all the nominees for
doing their part in making Meadow Brook a beautiful place to live. The
Burrough's are certainly very worthy recipients of the inaugural award and have
invested a lot of time and effort in improving the appearance and warmth of their
home. Please take the time over the next several weeks to drive by and see their
beautiful home. At my request, Bob graciously consented to writing an article
about the recent improvements they made to their home. Read what Bob had to say.
Stay tuned for your chance to nominate one of your neighbors for the next Beautification Award to be given in October.

May 2005
The Meadow Brook Home Owners Association is pleased to present the May 2005 Beautification Award to Ms. Betty Hammond of 4909 Sussex Road. Betty has lived in Meadow Brook for 13 years and enjoys working in her yard all year round. Betty's mother, Ms. Cora Dunn, lives with her and will be 92 years young this July. Cora said she helped her daughter in the yard when she was able, but that Betty did most all of the work now a days. There is nearly always something blooming, no matter what time of year, and the back yard looks like something carved out of the Botanical gardens.
Betty and Cora are truly special Ladies and very deserving of the Beautification Award. They are certainly an asset to our community and should be an inspiration to everyone. I encourage everyone to take the time over the next several weeks to drive by and see their beautiful home.
